Project Detail
One of the major concerns with shared kids rooms is that things get quite cluttered and overstuffed. While the second major one is providing each of the kids with a personal and unique space within the room, without overdecorating it and having the two ideas clashing or too contrasting. And it can get quite hectic when a 4 yrs old boy and 2 yrs old girl have to share the same bedroom.
The Proposal
For this Online Interior Design project for a Shared Kids Bedroom in USA, client wanted a bright, inviting space, without over cluttering it and a design that is not too baby-like or based on a certain theme. Careful selection of colors, graphics and layout within the limited dimensions the room and providing each of the kids with their own space within the shared bedroom, were the key to create a welcoming and delightful room for both of them to enjoy.
The Outcome
A timeless polka dot wallpaper unifies the room as a main decor accent. The black & white colors simplify the space and create the perfect neutral yet fun background for layering personalized touches onto it. Colorful splashes of pastels in geometric shapes along with corresponding artwork set personal zones in a seamless way within the room, and the big bear wall decal as a central focal point, thus all becomes united and blended into a bright, inviting and fun ambience.
